Paul on Parousia

Posted under Relevant Biblical Verses.

We have seen that the Parousia, the Second Coming of Christ, or the End of the World, however We put it, has been a Sore Issue for Many Christians.

Paul’s Very first epistle, the 1st letter to the Thessalonians, had created some confusions in this regard. But Paul put those issues to rest in his second letter to them.

Concerning the Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to be with Him: I beg You, my brothers, Not to be So Easily Confused in Your thinking or Upset by the Claim that the Day of the Lord Has come. Perhaps it is thought that we said this while prophesying or preaching, or that we wrote it in a letter. Do Not let Anyone Deceive You in Any way. For the Day will Not come until the Final Rebellion takes place and the wicked one appears, who is destined for hell.” 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3.
