Sad Effects of Pesticide

*******

As shared by a Friend in Facebook, these Magnificent, Beautiful and Innocent Birds have become Prey to… Should We Not say Human Greed and Folly?

Greed in that Extra Yields are expected and desired. Folly in that the Yield is Not Healthy; it Harms both the Human Body and the Earth.

And Creatures.

Where are the Protectors?

Came across Two Cases of Defencelessness, in both cases those concerning Women. Though, in the first, it is Incidental. As Under:

A. It seems that these 4 Women, aged between 71 and 61, were ‘caught’ by these ‘brave’ policemen when they were trying to sell the Birds they had caught.

Bird sellers

Tax defaulters to the tune of Thousands of Crores are roaming Free, those who had Cheated the country are settled abroad and enjoying themselves, those who steal and sell Statues from Temples are Free, but…

Birds by the Thousands have died because of the Radiation from the Cell-phone towers; and Whole Species of Birds, especially the Indian House Sparrow, has practically Disappeared because of this. But…Sittu pair

But these poor Women are Caught, because they are easy to ‘Catch,’ [ they can’t run too much, can they?  😦 ]. They are the prize catch of these policemen. And ‘they’ are sure to get some prizes for this. Yuck.

Bubble Gum and Birds

*******

Do not know how True this is. But this is what this graphic says: That the bird died due to Bubble gum sticking to its beak, and it not being able to eat.

We should at least Think about this.

Blessings in Burdens

Burdens are Blessings!

Vincent Egoro

I was gifted with this piece, and I thought it is worth sharing here;

There is a fable about the way birds first got their wings. The story goes that initially they were made without them. Then God made the wings, set them down before the wingless birds, and said to them, “Take up these burdens and carry them.”

The birds had sweet voices for singing, and lovely feathers that glistened in the sunshine, but they could not soar in the air. When asked to pick up the burdens that lay at their feet, they hesitated at first. Yet soon they obeyed, picked up the wings with their beaks, and set them on their shoulders to carry them.

For a short time the load seemed heavy and difficult to bear, but soon, as they continued to carry the burden and to fold the wings over their hearts, the wings grew…
