John Updike fu un romanziere, saggista e scrittore di racconti americano nato il 18 marzo 1932 e morto nel 2009.

I like pope Francis. Really a Good man.

But he Should Stand up, and Speak out, More Powerfully, maybe like #modi of India!

I am thinking of the Mexican children in their hundreds, if not the Thousands, getting seperated from their parents, and held in Cages!

The pope, @Pontifex,has NOT spoken on that.

When (St) Peter was in the wrong, (St) Paul Corrected him. See Acts 15. St. Joan of Arc and St. Teresa of Avila have done the same, to name just two.

When bjp fellows say Whatever modi does is right, We call them ‘Bhakts.’ What about Us? 🙂

The pope, bishops and priest should Speak out More Powerfully against Wrong and Injustice. The Whole Bible is about that.

எனக்கு நமது பாப்பரசர் பிரான்சிசை பிடிக்கும். வீடியோவில், இக்குழந்தையோடும், மற்ற குழந்தைகளோடும் நடந்து கொண்ட விதம், …குழந்தைகளோடு இறைவன் தாமே பேசுகின்றார் என்று சொன்னது, மனதை தொடுகின்றன.

பாப்பரசர், பிஷப்கள் மற்றும் குருக்கள், தவறுகளுக்கு எதிராக வல்லமையோடு பேச வேண்டும்.

मुझे पोप फ्रांसिस बहुत पसंद हैं. इस वीडियो में इन बच्चों के साथ उनका बर्ताव, यह कहना कि ईश्वर बच्चों से बातें करते हैं, आदि, बहुत प्रिय बात है.

पर अमरीका में मेक्सिकन बच्चों का उनके माता पिता से अलग किया जाना, पिंजरों में बंद किये जाना आदि पर हमारे पोप मौन हैं!

मोदी जो भी करें, कुछ लोग उन सभी चीजों को अच्छा ही कहते हैं, और हम उन्हें ‘भक्त’ कहते हैं. पर हम?

जब पतरस ने गलती की तो पवुल ने उन्हें सही राह दिखाया। देखिये प्रेरितों के कार्य १५. संत Joan of Arc और अविला की संत तेरेसा ने भी ऐसा किया।

हमारे संत पापा, बिशपगण और पुरोहितो को, गलती और अन्याय के विरुद्ध और बल से बोलना चाहिए! यूं कहिये मोदी जैसे!

Moms are known to say things like: ‘You shall not leave One bit of Food on Your plate,’ etc. …At least in the Olden days. …I think Children will not listen to such things now. Anyway.

This Sweet Child’s mother seems to have said the same thing, only, in this case it was, ‘On Your Leaf.’

This happened to me!

Let’s all Relax, my Dear Folks! This is posted by way of Humour. 🙂 But this Really happened.

I was recently travelling by Bus, and a Small Boy came to sit beside me, the seat being Empty. He was looking at me, so I turned to him and gave him one of my ‘Famous’ Smiles. And What should he do, but get up and go and sit with his Mom!

Boo Hoo! Am I SO Frightening? I ask You. And I like company and all that. And as I think back, it was one of my Very Best Smiles. No Second Best. Promise.

Anyway. That is Life.

A Teacher's Reflections

Our Memory Garden at school is a raised bed of beauty; flowers, sculptures, American flags, and a collection of painted rocks, all to mark classroom pets and loved ones who have died over the years. The garden sits quietly as children run and play alongside. It is welcoming, and children who visit inevitably ask questions.

Additionally, there is a flat paving stone with a carved dragonfly in remembrance of Taylor, a little boy in our school who died some years ago. Taylor adored dragonflies. Yesterday I noticed the garden needed weeding, and sat on the low stone wall to take care of Taylor’s dragonfly. Emma came over to ask what I was doing. She wanted to help me weed. That was the beginning of a remarkable series of events about dying.

Yes – dying – the word that scares teachers and parents. The “D” word. Something they hope they’ll never…
