Just Yesterday, met a Grand Old man of 83, Mr. Poulose, whose leg got broken recently in a traffic accident. He is in Severe pain, and the doctors told him that medication would bring relief for only a certain period of time, and if he wanted to go for it, the medications themselves would cause side effects. The Long and Short of it, – Mr. Poulose decided to face the pain, and is bearing it without Medication.

Right this fine morning, as I switch on the TV just to know what is new, find that the BCCI (Board of Cricket Control in India, means the ones who control all the money from the TV rights and the ticket sales!!!) are Not going to Implement the recommendations of the Lodha Panel (one under a judge of that name, investigating affairs). Maybe the BCCI is not sharing enough of the profits with…

What I mean to say is, The courts hold their collective breaths, let out their Tongues(!), and go After Cricket. …But Umpteen Women getting Raped, Gang Rapes, Acid Throwing, Declining Farming, Farmer’s Suicides, etc, can go hang!!! …A Life Without True Justice. Worth Living?

The courts think they can Control the Citizens merely by Fear of ‘Contempt of court.’

The More Fool he who calls Mere judges as ‘Justices.’ Evidently shows these fellows have No Idea of what Justice is.

We live in Miserable times when We, the Citizens, have to Pussy-foot around when You want to say something about the Situation of Justice in the Country (Thousands and Thousands of People languishing in Jails Without Hearing for 20 Years and More – The First Crime of the courts). Or against politicians.

Dogs of fellows can Rape a Minor and Get bail and Get By; …but You wonder about the Health of (certain) politicos, and behold, You find Special cells formed just to keep watch on this to put You behind bars for this! A Life Worth Living?

But things and situations will Not change by Pussy-footing around. Which is Precisely why they Allow just that! As soon as the Thing called ‘Pussy-footing around’ comes into being, it Shows that it is A Situation of Slavery. Unsaid. Undeclared. Unspoken. Not Even Allowed to be Uttered.

But that is Not a Life Worth Living. And Particularly in a land like India, politicos and judges will have to remember that People will Not Accept Slavery, of Any kind. Indian History is Too Full of Risings for Freedom.

judges, instead of playing Second Fiddle to politicos, would do well to Just Ask their Very Children What they think about the judicial system and state of Justice in this Great Country. …Actually, the ONLY Judge, (see, I use a Capital for this Judge!) who is on the Lips of Tamilians is Judge Michael D’Cunha, shown below. ALL other so called judges are people Nobody cares for, nor remembers.

Salt? I know only two languages besides some English. And in Both the Indian languages, (am sure it is there in others too!), the word Salt is considered Very Important. As in:

नमक -हराम !

The word, Namak Haraam, signifies one who has Betrayed Great Trust. And the Very Exact Same sentiment occurs in Tamil, as in:

உப்புக்கு துரோகம் !

English puts it slightly Differently, as in: Not Worth his Salt.

judges are asked to examine their Diet. Maybe because of all the above they totally Eschew the product. If so, they are advised to add it. Because, Tamil says:

உப்பில்லாத பண்டம் குப்பையிலே !

That the police know hundred of ways and Methods of Torture without leaving a Mark. And that Too many Deaths are occurring in police custody. That Sedition, and ‘Burning/Insulting the Flag’ kind of False charges are hoisted All Too Easily.

But like Mr. Poulose, there are People who are Ready to Endure all that.

India’s Defence Minister wants to ‘Teach’ a Citizen a Lesson

Is India lacking in Judicial Power? I Openly and Frankly say that the so called ‘justice department‘ is No More than the ‘Law department,’ as Rightly called that in Hindi, namely, ‘Kanoon vibhag.’ This so called justice department, keeping Thousands for Over Twenty years in Custody without even a Hearing, is Well in the hands of Ruling Party. Go On, Arrest me.

Anyway, even the administration (government) seems to think so, – that is, The justice department is of , hmm, No Use, – it would seem. Which is Why they don’t bother to file charges when they ‘think’ somebody has killed a cow, or somebody has said something anti-national. They have to take steps.

India’s Defence Minister, no less, one #parrikar, has said that People like Aamir Khan should be taught a lesson.

I think this harks back to the time and statement of Aamir, where he had said that his Wife did not feel Safe (in India). Should he Not have said that? What he or she had felt? Actually, A LARGE MAJORITY do not feel Safe in India, which is Why they do not Open their Mouths. Even on the Internet, even in the Blogosphere! Haha! How can they?

Think also of the Destruction of the Babri Masjid. I am not aware that Muslims destroyed Any major Temple (of the Hindus) in these times. We are speaking of India, of course.

Putting Aamir and parrikar on the scales, parrikar is a Mere politico, whereas Aamir has contributed Much for Positive Changes in the Mentality of the People.

All that being so, the anchor of @IndiaToday TV channel, reiterating what #parrikar had said, has blurted: “#parrikar has merely said that the people do not like Aamir.”

Merely. And if a group of people do not like somebody or something, the administration will do what the ‘people’ want. Frankly, Large groups, like 25,000 asking the Kudankulam Nuclear plant to be shut down, or for Liquor shops near Schools and Hospitals to be closed down in Tamil Nadu, Did Not Work!

I fired off some tweets on that, as under:

1. ‪#‎parrikar‬ seems to have given the explanation that ‘people did not like’ what ‪#‎AamirKhan‬ said, did, whatever. In that case, (cont)

2. I Not liking #parrikar, would it be Ok for me to get a group of people by my side, and then say that #parrikar should be taught a lesson?

3. #parrikar: Any person with Half a Brain knows govt can Track all things. But a Citizen cannot live in Fear. I refuse to live in Fear.

4. Not only #parrikar, @IndiaToday seems to agree that If people do not like, they can put their Foot in their Mouth. It THAT govt’s work?

5. ‪#‎Democracy‬ Actually means Opinion of the Majority, WITHOUT HARM TO THE MINORITY. After all We Are ONE COUNTRY, #parrikar, @IndiaToday.

India wants Monarchy!

I could also have titled this: India is Not ready for Democracy. …Nobody would put such things into words, and I am Sure to get Flak left and right over this. But this is What We see: India wants Monarchy, though it be Mono-Anarchy!

For the people, monarchies are the simplest systems. You go about your business of making some money and some children, and, if something happens, run Crying to the king, – or the queen, as the case may be. They throw you some Bones, you Thank them Duly, and go on till the next time.

As for those who in reality qualify for the term monarchy, – though Uncrowned in these times, they are Well Aware of the mindset of the people. This their knowledge is called ‘Raaj-Tantra,’ the Kingly/King’s Tricks, in India, and they are past masters of this.

As I said, in India, Only the Crown is lacking. But our politicos have learnt to live with that. They have Enough of other benefits to care for silly things like crowns.

The question of Minorities is Not just with regard to the communities seen from the religious view point. Where the Majority of the people are Un-Educated, (though they might even possess impressive degrees), and those who can Think form the Minority, and this The Minority Feels Defeated, and Is Listless, Apathetic, Unconcerned, and Inactive, What Else can We Expect? …And I am counting You and I, my Dear Reader, among the Minorities. We are the Educated, the Qualified, and the Few!

Let me repeat, Dear Reader, that You, my Friends, Automatically qualify for the Privileged title of the Minority of this sense!

Given our qualities of Listlessness and Apathy and all that, …Ok, get ready, I am going to use a terrible word… What I with Regret, but Without Hesitation call The Rabble, Elect our governments!

For The Rabble, it has been Enough that she has thrown them plenty of Bones. Useless Freebies, – which break down so soon, and so much, that those who repair them refuse to accept them for repairs! The Rabble do not Realize that these things have been given to them from their own money, their tax money, – which should have been spent on Water and Roads and Buses and what not.

There is an advertisement going the rounds these days that says some cell phone is 0.2 seconds faster in transmitting data (unless it is the server they are referring to). Pay attention: Point Two seconds. …I would like the meet the average cell phone user for whom even minutes make a difference. But such seem to be the target of the cell phone companies. I include these under The Rabble!

In the final say, Most Unfortunately The Rabble, at least in Tamil Nadu, is what is forming the governments! Manipulated and Controlled by the erstwhile Rabble-Rousers, of course.

Democracy and Intelligence

In my post, Democracy in India, I had mentioned that Democracy works Only When We Exhibit Intelligence and Knowledge, etc.

As far as Intelligence is concerned, the Internet/Blogging Community Does have it. But Our Knowledge? Faulty, many a time. I look at the Internet community in particular for this. Full of people who know how to use Cell phones, but Sadly and Drastically Lacking in Solid Education. When the Reality is that too many people come out of most Engineering colleges in India with No Knowledge, this becomes understandable.

Again speaking of India, Frankly maybe at least 30% of Our Voters have not gone to School. And if We are Honest, We will accept that Schooling in India is a Farce.

…After I published this by about 2 PM, at about 4 PM We have News over the TV that Medical Colleges are operating with Fake Teachers, dishing out certificates! As below:

‘The Punjab Medical Council (PMC) recently found out that over 400 such fake teachers were enrolled as full-time faculty in four private medical colleges across Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.’

Colleges glory in teaching in English. In the case of Tamil Nadu, from the grand old days when this state topped in English in India, today MOST students will struggle even to understand that language, let alone speak it. You can understand the quality of the Outcome.

…To go back, Think of Government Schools! And Not the Exceptions, at that! Promotion is the Norm. Whether the Child even knows the Three R’s or not, the government has decided that they should have a certificate that they are ‘Educated.’ Result?

And Considering that Our Very Future Depends upon Our Voters being Knowledgable, it becomes Our Bounded Duty to keep them Informed. Sadly, the government is Out to Dupe! There is a Department for Misinformation, though the governemt will not admit it, of course.

What We Need is, to Post the Right Things, Corrections, if necessary, with Proofs, so that the Internet community Grows in Knowledge. The Facebook and Twitter platforms become very useful for this.

Then the Future of Our Coming Generations will be Safe.

Democracy and Courage

As in my previous post, which had referred to the one entitled Democracy in India, I had written that: Democracy works Only When We Exhibit: Courage and Strength.

I think We are All Bold. But are We Bold Enough? Bold Enough to Question the Government? To write against governmental decisions?

It Not Only Could, but Would mean the Midnight Knock at Our Doors. That is the Fear that the governments have instilled in Us. And what is Happening? I once again resort to good old Ayn Rand:

This Grand Old Lady had forseen this in 1957! Has the situation changed? You say it. Let us Realize that If the Situation Is to Change, Risk Will be Involved. But, like All Bullies, the government is a Bully too. And We Should Know How to Deal with Bullies, and What Bullies do when Confronted.

But let us Face it. Most of Our postings are ‘Safe ones.’ They would save us the from Wrath of the government. But they are Not Saving a Healthy Democracy for Our Coming Generations!

I would Not call Madly Rushing into Danger as Courage. Courage has to be Intelligent. Courage should be used with Strength.

How many of Us Exercize? In a Meaningful Way? Regularly? Is Our Weight under control? If We do not have Strength, Would and Could We have the Courage to face Circumstances and State of affairs?!

Strength also means having Numbers. Crime is Organised. They have numbers. Are only the evil and the criminals to be Organised, Methodical and Clever? What Are We? We have to Organise Ourselves. Let Us Not wait for Nasty things to happen before We do that.

Democracy, and the Future of Our Children, Demands Courage and Strength on Our part.

Today is a Sunday. Just two days ago, India observed its Harvest festival, a happy time, if any! And Only two weeks ago was the ‘celebration’ of the New Year!

But have Any of those things made a Difference to Items like these?

Again, just two days ago, young Air Force Corporal Abhimanyu Gaud was knocked down and Killed by a Hit and Run Car.

There are plenty who say that the Hit and Run driver is the son of a West Bengal’s ruling TMC minister, even naming the alleged killer: Ambia Sohrab.

And they say plenty of things about him.

It is said that this fellow has a History of Reckless Driving, Scuffles, Beating Up Police(!), Molestations, and Owning a fleet of 22 Cars! And, Does his Facebook account show off many police friends?

The Indian Police is a very Clever Animal. They just Know who the Culprits are. Several years ago, I Know of a case where the PP of Giridih in Bihar had put up a fence, an Iron Angle thing. Next morning it was not there. Since this PP was a friend of the Superintendent of police, he went to him. He was asked to sit down and have some tea. After about an hour the iron angles turned up. Only, they had been cut into small pieces, ready for resale. The police officer had shrugged. ‘Take what You are getting,’ he had said.

For the last 20-30 years or so, it has become that the police will act Only if they get a nod from the politicos.

4. The LG of Delhi, that british agent, says that Enquiries are Illegal. People object to Investigations Only if they have things to hide.

5. Delhi police commissioner calls Volunteers who want to Watch over Odd/Even Implementation as Vigilantes!

6. Particularly Delhi LG and Police Commissioner are proving to be Agents of bjp. If #CITIZENS don’t control this, Who will?

7. #CITIZENS are not just those who Vote. If We don’t take part in governance, We are Slaves, Not #CITIZENS.

Regarding the First, Our Situation,

Our governments treat what We would consider as Major Issues as minor points. Not Swa-Rajya at all.

A man is Lynched and Killed, and Horrible things happen to his Family, All done Over Unsubstantiated Rumours.

About this, the ruling party’s statement is that it was all done on the heat of the moment. In short, of No Great Moment. For them.

Another part of the Situation is that

SHEER, PHYSICAL VIOLENCE IS PART OF INDIAN POLITICS.

I do not believe this is so in Any other part of the world. Ok, stalin, maybe. But the world of mao, Nepal a few years ago, saddam hussein, et al, were NOT, Are Not, Democracies. Whatever they might have said.

India, Professing to be a Democracy, hailing itself as the Largest Democracy in the World, resorts SO much to Violence. People going against the Ruling parties are Simply Done Away with. With Impunity.

PEOPLE KNOW THIS. AND KEEP QUIET. AND SURVIVE.

The woman is jayalalitha, the current chief minister of Tamil Nadu. And the one struggling to fall at her dirty feet is one of Tamil Nadu’s ministers!

The Tragedy is that she laughs. And both the men in the picture have swallowed their pride, if they had Ever had anything called by that name.

…But Survival is Not Living.

If We are Ready for Such Slavery, such Sychophancy, WHAT WAS THE NEED TO FIGHT FOR FREEDOM? What had We Lacked, except the Right to Make Our Own SALT?

But the Horror of the Situation is that YOU CAN GET KILLED If You raise up certain Issues.

All the Above can be said to Constitute the Situation of Our Lives.

As Regards the Solutions, Well, One of them anyway, and in my opinion The Best, is that We Receive Strength from the Divine.

Among the Hundreds of songs that I have on my computer, these days I have listening to: “Shine, Jesus, Shine,” quite well rendered in the copy I have.

I have a habit of listening to these songs Repeatedly indeed, letting them play on for Hours, and frequently let that carry on for Days!

And one of the Lines I Like in this Song, One that Strikes Chords in my heart is: “Set Our Hearts on Fire!“

We NEED the Power, and Even Intervention of God in Our Lives to Live Meaningful, Powerful, Useful lives.

Let’s Just let these Sentiments Live in Our hearts. Our prayers Asking the Divine to give us Courgare and Strength, Will Be Heard.

Also, Clapping and Cheering at the end of Songs of Religious Import takes away the Whole Effect. This has to be Absolutely Avoided. ]

We are Also Apathetic. Which is Pathetic. This is part of Our Situation, of course. We are Not living Lives of Lions, which is Possible, and to be Desired. We are living like Jackals.

Have We Noticed that neither Animal Planet, nor Discovery, or the National Geographic carry programmes on the Jackal. That’s How Lowly it is considered to be.

The Good News is that We Can Change Ourselves.

We Need Not Continue living as Jackals.

India is not alone in its ‘Democracy!’

India has become Notorious, in that political gatherings take place by giving people (Free) Transportation, a packet of Biryani (a rice condiment, prepared with meats or vegetables), and even about 200 ml of liquor!

The Absolutely LOW tone of India’s democracy is also brought out by the Abject behaviour of so called ‘ministers of state,’ as You see below.

Two sets of animals, one tied and the other untied, showing their ‘Backsides.’ The lower picture, as the rest here, show ‘jayalalitha’s’ so called ministers grovelling before her cavalcade.

An extreme in backsides! The woman does not have the desire, or shall We say, is Not Cultured Enough, to put a stop to such behaviour.

Worse than Indian School boys are these so called ministers of that same jaya. In schools, this receives a protest. But such are the ‘democratic’ measures of India.

The one at right was the (acting) Chief minister of Tamil Nadu, jaya’s own puppet, er, choice, now in front of her. Viva la democracie!

But let us not think that jaya is the only one guilty of such things. Just one more now, on modi, the ‘prime’ minister of India, and ‘his’ style of democracy.

But What of Other Countries?

I find many of their Citizens Obese, which means they have lacked something-something! Even their military personnel, not to say the police, are Obese!

They highly favour Mindless, nay Brainless, and Useless – so called sports like the WWE, TNA, which is a lot of body building, useless moves likes striking with the ‘Forearms,’ (God help those who learn fighting techniques from these!), and good use of the ‘Mat’ in the ring. This mat must have been made to ‘pole vaulter’s’ specifications, by the way.

…And these go to Polls too, and elect governments.

On Such Depends our Democracy

One of India’s arguments in wanting to be a member of the Security Council in the UN is that it is the Largest Democracy.

Very few nations have succeeded as Democracies. Democracy is easier to Attain than to Maintain. Democracy is Not for the Lazy or the Apathetic.
