We can Choose!

*******

Following this tweet by Dear Brother Dennis Cardiff:

Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Choose wisely.- Vala Afshar

These are Not only things to Live By;

They are also things that Make Us Live, Allow Us to Keep on Living, Give Us the Strength to go on Living, even Happily, particularly at times when We want to give up and Die!

***

Years ago I had learnt this lesson, though I got the words slightly differently, viz, Decide to be Happy.

Of course, in time, We learn that not everything brings happiness, and that Only Certain things do. But once We have decided, it becomes possible for Us to pursue those same, and Achieve Happiness on a day to day basis.

Happiness

Note: Irom remained on Fast for longer than that, but now she has given it up, following ‘promises’ by the govt. Which the govt has Not fulfilled. 😦

Let Us Choose to be Happy; Let Us Decide to be Happy! 🙂 🙂 🙂

And let Us also remember that it is not only just about happiness!

Here is a Beautiful Quote, offered by Friend Dennis Cardiff, Author of the Excellent ‘Gotta Find a Home,’ now into its second Edition, <> …He is a man I greatly admire. It was not Only Mother Teresa who worked for the Poorest of the Poor.

Now about the quote, which Dennis has shared on Twitter:

“I’m so busy I don’t know whether I found a rope or lost my horse. – Mark Schaefer “

Humour on one side, and Painful Reality on the Other. But in my opinion, the Painful Reality lies Not in the situation, but What We say about it.

My Question is: Are We Really So Busy?! 🙂

WE MUST ACT

It is Not Enough to be Compassionate; We Must ACT.

By and From one whom I Deeply Admire, and call the ‘Apostle of Love,’ Dennis Cardiff.

THERE ARE MANY BILLIONS

OF PEOPLE WHO OPPOSE

VIOLENCE, BIGOTRY AND HATRED.

(I’m shouting because this is important)

OUR VOICE ISN’T BEING HEARD

OUR SILENCE, INACTION AND APATHY

CONDONES THE STATUS QUO.

WE MUST ACT,

IN OUR DAILY LIVES,

ACCORDING TO OUR CAPACITY.

WE CAN EACH SHOW KINDNESS

HUMILITY AND COMPASSION

TO FELLOW HUMANS.

We are all the same —

we seek happiness

suffering.

A Friend to the Homeless: Interview with Dennis Cardiff

DENNIS CARDIFF’s Blog, and a book having the same name, http://gottafindahome.wordpress.com had impressed me, and I had shared his writing and reblogged about his book.

Today I came to this post, an Excellent, and Very Inspiring one.
Dennis is a person with ‘polio at the age of eighteen months and six major surgeries, one hundred and fifty stitches, over a period of sixty-seven years.’

With ‘that,’ he has accomplished So much, that his name would be counted with Abou Ben Adhem.

My Salutations to Dennis. I Encourage You my Friends to Buy his book, as he donates its income for the Homeless.

My Hearty Regards and Congratulations to Susan Rowland for her excellent interview and post.

I Heartily Recommend this Book

People become Homeless because of Many reasons. In India, such People are Looked Down Upon, or More Often Ignored, etc. Whereas it seems that in the West they are even subjected to Violence. That much about the Situation.

Many People at Many times have set forth to help the Helpless. Through the blogs, I have come to know of DENNIS CARDIFF, who is a Writer and an Author, and gives of his time, energy and money to take care of these Have-nots. I have also come to know of his Book: GOTTA FIND A HOME.

Image: Screen capture from his site. Reference below. Mr. Cardiff, besides spending out of his own pocket to help out in various ways, has written:

‘All profits will be used to support those forced onto the streets and the Ottawa Innercity Ministries, Street Outreach Program.’

Here seems to be a Programme where the Help one gives Reaches those for Whom it is Intended.

It would be very good if You would Buy this Book, or Donate, as You Wish. Here is the reference to his site:
